Front Porch:Home:Mac Addiction:Favorite Mac Links
I usually hate "links" pages, but sometimes they're necessary. I won't recap the absolutely necessary ones like MacInTouch & VersionTracker. You can find that out elsewhere. These aren't sites I visit all the time, but ones I'm very glad exist.
- Thursby Software, makers of DAVE. MacSpeech is still struggling to catch up to the state of PC speech recognition, so I've had to get a PC and hook it up to my Mac Network. DAVE helps your Mac share files and even a printer with a PC. Thursby makes other solutions for helping Macs and PCs (and even UNIX) get along.
- And speaking of networking, I can't tell you how many times Three Macs and a Printer has helped me figure out how to run my home network.
- The Apple "Switch" campaign page actually has info that might be useful for ambi-techno people.
- MacSpeech,Inc.- Valiantly improving Mac-centric speech recognition software.
- Google's Mac-ified Search Engine
- Plaintalk is neat technology and it's free!
- The East Bay Mac Users Group - although it might not retain that name for long.
- PlanetMUG - out of the ashes of BMUG arises PlanetMUG.
- Low End Mac - keeping those old Macs running
- Jag's House's great page of links for Vintage Mac Repair Info
- Buy or sell used Macs at the Mac Trading Post
- Fix those nasty monitor compatibility problems with The Mac Monitor Database - from the superb folks at Griffin Technology
